It is our great pleasure to inform all fans and supporters of the European Roma Spirit Award that the International Jury of experts found its Chair! Mgr. Věra Jourová, the European Commissioner for Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality accepted our invitation.
Briefly about Vera Jourová:
Mgr. Vera graduated from the Philosophical Faculty of Charles University in Theory of Culture. Later she also obtained a degree in law from Charles University.
Between 2006-2013, she worked as a Managing Director of Primavera Conuslting – a company that provided consulting services on European funds. In 2013, she became a Trainee solicitor in law firm Bezděk & Partners.
In 2014, Věra Jourová became a Minister of the Government of the Czech Republic for Regional Development. After 10 months in this role, in November 2014, she was appointed as a Commissioner for Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality.
