Magdalena Rothova

Director of Association for Culture, Education and Communication

She studied Mass Media Communication at the University of Cyril and Methodius in Trnava.

Magdalena started working as a manager of a music club during her university studies. Her career started at full in major marketing and advertising agencies Wiktor Leo Burnett and Neopublic Porter Noveli as an Account Manager. She continued with her direct work and communication with people and clients also when working for Shirtinator as a Manager of Production, and later on the position Statutory Representative for Prešporkovo Family Centre, in which she managed the activities necessary to ensure the operation and development.

In 2014, she started to work as the Director of the Association for Culture, Education and Communication. She completed training for Roma Health Mediators and was committed to health education and awareness in disadvantaged communities ever since. As a Director, she implemented and managed a number of successful projects in Slovakia and abroad. She leads, motivates and provides professional development, creates marketing and business strategies and oversees their implementation. Magdalena is also a senior lecturer in the Platform for Support of Health of Disadvantaged Groups and participates in trainings of Roma Health Mediators.

For the past two years, she has been fully dedicated to the Roma Spirit project and health education projects for socially excluded groups- Together for Better Health, Lunik IX, and Healthy Communities.
