Ábel Ravasz

Government Plenipotentiary for Roma Communities

Abel Ravasz currently works as a Government Plenipotentiary for Roma Communities. He studied Social Sciences, Sociology, Political Science and Economics at the universities in Budapest. He also holds a Master of Arts degree in Sociology from the Columbia University.

During his career, he worked as a researcher at DEMOS Hungary, leading analyst in Publicus Slovakia, and Account Executive in iStep. Since 2011, he worked as a consultant in Most – Híd political party. He also worked as an Executive Director of the Institute of Matej Bel in 2015 .

Mr. Ravasz has dedicated his time to many projects focusing on Roma issues (eg. Roma mentoring project, he is a founder of Roma organization PURT) and presented at major international conferences in Europe and the US.
